Old Photos Mainly in film/print format still!
Bit of a pun as they are just my oldest photos of fading signs. Many of my photographs in 2007 or earlier were taken on film and not all are in digital format. I plan to correct this soon and write a story about the best (most interesting). These include but are not limited to:
- Walters Carriers off Elizabeth St Richmond and near Punt/Victoria - a great multi wall set of signs. There seems to have been a bakery around the corner from this in Punt Road and there is now a recording studio called Bakehouse along the side street off Elizabeth
- Eta Peanut Butter and Fishers Floor Wax signs in Waverley Rd East Malvern near Burke Rd which had/have an authentic old style delicatessen with great signs nearby
- Very large sign at corner Malvern and Tooronga Rds Malvern East advertising Removals and Storage
- Monopole Magnum Cigar sign in Swan St Richmond near Burnley St
- Lovely Burnley Theatre sign in Swan St between Burnley and Coppin streets (Swan auctions building)
- The Australian Mont de Piete sign in Swan St Richmond near Dimmeys building - this sign very similar in style to Monopole cigar sign
